Leslie Margolis’ Assemblage Art, whether whimsical or serious, reflects a somewhat unusual take on life. Her current series, called CHILD'Z PLAY is a subject that draws upon a lifetime of exploration, creative pursuits, and  igniting children’s love for learning.

A long-time elementary schoolteacher, artist, and toy designer, Leslie’s classrooms and home to this day are guided by the following credo: “This is an Exploratorium. There are no rules on what or how to create.  There is no one saying you can’t do that… it's too crazy or we already tried “that” before. There is only imagination, the everyday materials of life, and everyone’s willingness to explore them.”

Today, Leslie no longer teaches; she paints. Though her Assemblage pieces focus on Found Objects, her classical Oil Portraits are the result of nine years of study, with artist / master teacher Cheryl Kline at Kline Academy of Fine Art on Motor Ave. in Los Angeles.

Leslie lives in Brentwood with her inventor husband Geoff.  She also loves to flex her vocal chords at monthly Jazz workshops.  If interested in purchasing or commissioning her art, she can be contacted at Leslie@nffinventions.com

“ When Robert Fulghum wrote that all he needed to know he learned in Kindergarten, he must have been thinking of Leslie Margolis. ”
